The Troy State majorette squad boasts over two dozen members including 23 majorettes, one captain and three features. Over the past two years members of the "Sound of the South" have performed for over 450,000 fans. 
Tryouts are held every spring at the Troy University campus. Line members twirl one baton and two batons. |
Troy State University's "Sound of the South" Marching Band entertains audiences regularly at all Division I-A Trojan home games and many of the away games.
The majorettes also have the opportunity to perform in bowl games, parades and exhibitions.
