This year there were three girls twirling for the ONU marching
band. They were Freshman Elizabeth Drummond, Freshman Stephanie Wray, and
Captian, Junior Emily McLaughlin. There is no set number of girls who may be on
the line.
The ONU twirlers are featured for one song played by the ONU marching
band at all home games. They also perform the pre-game show with the band and
color guard. They travel to one away game every season. The band has also
performed in Europe, Canada, Chicago, and most recently Hawaii.

Twirlers use one baton, two baton, fire baton and dance props including canes, and hats. Typical skills include: vertical and horizontal two spin, front and back illusions, one and a half, two baton showers, high toss - low toss one spin, high toss bow.
Audition tapes should be sent to Ohio Northern University
Controller's Office in c/o Stacey Neeley. Each audition tape should be two
minutes of one baton, and one minute of two baton. Please have all tapes in by
April 1st to audition for the following fall.
We bring excitement and color to the ONU marching band. There is
nothing better than completing a great performance and getting a standing
ovation from the crowd and the ONU twirlers do just that! We are dedicated to
twirling and performing!
